web hosts are like underwear, it’s good to change them every once in awhile

Ugh. That's more like doing an organ swap. What did you find in your change? (I've been with Dreamhost for decades, though my use case is archaic for them.)
@jgordon I learned that Vercel and Netlify are pretty interchangeable and I wished someone had written a redirects/rewrites converter 😅
@zachleat I just reuse the same one inside out
@ben how many security holes are in that pair
@zachleat and a long run is a “streak”
@mattrambles oh no
@zachleat that was anonymous by the way
@mattrambles I POSTED THIS TOOT FOR A FRIEND
@zachleat Curious why you went with Vercel? I’ve switched between Cloudflare Pages, Netlify and Vercel with my personal site and settled on Vercel. Mainly due to it just working and its built in insights and analytics tools.
@dvsk I have sites on all three of those providers right now. If I had to summarize in a toot I’d say Cloudflare is great for “unlimited” bandwidth but the UX of the admin panels of the other two are much nicer and easier to follow.
@zachleat Yep I’ve found the same, the UX of Cloudflare is all over the place, most likely due to it doing so much more than static site hosting. Fastly is the next one I want to try https://www.fastly.com/blog/no-origin-static-websites-at-the-edge/ though last time I tried it choked because the upload was bigger than 100mb thanks to all my images.
