printed some skulls to fill our sidelight windows. lesson learned: don’t assume the left and right windows are the same size 🫠

@zachleat Do you have a nieghbour with the same door design, who can use the other set? Those are quite impressive & I'm sure they took a lot of time (& filament) to print!
Are the eyes semi-transparent? Will they glow when the lights are on inside the house?
THIS IS BRILLIANT! You could also cut the eyes out or drill pin point holes in them
@rachelnabors yeah! a drill could work!
@zachleat It's going to be such a good trick because the tiny dot will make the rest of the socket hard to distinguish. Good googly vibes
@AmeliaBR my partner bought a belt sander and we got it figured out! it was a few KG of filament, yes! I’ll post some better pictures after the other side cures properly.
The eyes aren’t transparent but are socket holes. I could throw some little battery lights in there for a quick photo but definitely not a long term option 🤔
@zachleat subscribe, more pics please!!!
@zachleat Yeah I framed houses for a few months as a summer job once. One day I measured one opening and made some cuts to use for it and for another identical opening. The wood I cut didn't fit in the second. The pro said "why didn't you measure both?" I said "in theory, aren't they supposed to be the same?" He said "yeah theory doesn't work. You need to measure both", and that really stuck wtih me.
Anyway, sorry for your dissapointment!! I feel ya ✌🏻
@alexanderbird haha yes, uniformity is a myth!!

@iamdtms nothing a belt sander couldn’t sloppily fix 😅
