      @cbirdsong As feed readers have improved over time, it’s just cognitive overhead (a choice!) when someone goes to subscribe. Or me, that has been reviewing my subscriptions lately

         @zachleat I was thinking ‘eh, why not just put all the <link rel="alternate">s you can in the <head> so the feed reader can decide?’, but I supposed that just punts the cognitive overload choice into the feed reader interface. This is what Feedbin does, for instance:

            @zachleat i suppose it could be smart about de-duping feeds with the same title attribute, but I’m not sure if that would be strictly correct

               @cbirdsong could definitely check feed content to guess if the feeds are the same and then just select from a radio of formats!
