The most underrated code comment continues to be:
// Start here tomorrow

@zachleat I’m personally a fan of `//TODO: Fix`
@countablenewt @zachleat `// TODO: Fix` at least has some agency, `// this doesn't work` is even more pessimistic,
@zachleat The only thing that I would add is ...
** TODO **
... before "Start" because I don't trust that I would see the comment.
@zachleat I do that! I use "on return:" followed by a list of items, either in the code or a different text document.
That trick makes resurrecting a mental workspace a *lot* easier.
@zachleat Along with 2-5 lines of context. "Thank you past self" every time.
@AlesandroOrtiz @zachleat I have a document titled "note to future self" that I revise on Fridays. I want to start thanking my past self.
@paulrosen @AlesandroOrtiz storing Friday mental state is so important
