Shipped some of the very first @11ty v4.0.0 canaries today — for only the bravest early adopters (for now) but we’re iterating!

v4.0.0-alpha.3 is only 16.2 MB on disk (down from 21.MB for v3.1.2!)

Some more detail here: https://github.com/11ty/eleventy/releases

Also posted to Bluesky.

v5 - 10 mb
v6 - 2 mb, wowowow
v7 - 0 mb (@zachleat personally and directly compiles, builds, and deploys all 11ty-driven sites on demand)

@zachleat i'm really holding out for v11 with negative 11mb dependency, in which 11ty enters the quantum realm

@zachleat I'm interested to see all the ways this might be used - super impressive work getting it so small and performant by the sound of it!
