   @zachleat it's gone. Sorry.

      @zachleat yeah, no. Of course that was not cool at all.

         @sarajw appreciate you!

            @zachleat I don't appreciate me, I'm an idiot! Was about to say you're welcome to not have me as a speaker any more 🫣

            I'm happy to be called out - especially when it's super valid because I did a super offensive brainfart like that!

               @sarajw I don’t expect folks to be perfect—we all need a nudge every now and again. It’s what happens after that is the most important and I appreciate you for correcting!

               I also realize that I have an American perspective on gun violence (unfortunately) 😭

                  @zachleat yeah. And Mormonism - like you probably actually know some good people who are - it's a very alien concept over here - both having such accessible guns and knowing any Mormons.

                  Doesn't mean I'm excused. It was a brainfart. Thanks so much for accepting my apology 💜

                     @sarajw Not sure about Mormonism specifically but I do come from an evangelical christian upbringing. Though I’m an atheist now and have my share of religious trauma I’m still working through with my family too

                     (still appreciate you!)

                        @zachleat hah, yes I'm not much traumatised, but am also a now-atheist from a pretty religious family.

                        Btw did Amazon give you any tracking details on that mic? If I have an idea of when it might turn up, I'll make sure it doesn't get left on my doorstep for too long :)

                           @sarajw I don’t see anything specific yet sorry!

                              @zachleat that's helpful as it is! Thank you :)

                                 @zachleat Hey yoooo

                                 Just a minor thing, and no rush - I'm she/her rather than they :) I guess I wrote my bio in the 1st person, oops!

                                 I don't mind 'they', but I feel like that would make people think I identify as trans - and while that's obviously no bad thing, I don't.

                                    @sarajw ah, do you want to rewrite it? https://github.com/11ty/11ty-conf/blob/main/src/_components/conference-speakers.webc#L69

                                    1. Sara Joy 4 days later

                                       @zachleat PR done :)

                                       It's cool, like I am happy to be a little ambiguous - but I haven't had to go through the things a trans person has, I don't have that lived experience, and don't want to accidentally cosplay in it, if that makes sense?

                                       1. Zach Leatherman 4 days later

                                          @sarajw yeah, that is understandable! I appreciate the PR too! Merged!
