@DavidDarnes @zachleat 100% this. Absolute clown
@zachleat@fediverse.zachleat.com I once (late 2020) learned i was laidoff in a email "Here the important document you need about the townhall meeting of this afternoon where's we will discuss the closure of the game studio". And yes the documents included the list of people layed off. And no it wasn't a mistake, they just didn't think people would read it before the meeting. And yes they were suprised people were angry about it.
@grifdail *wow*
@zachleat After working to 5 am on a new business deck, arrived home and checked my email, to discover a diagram of desk assignments at our new office space.
Many people, including myself, didn't have a desk assigned.
@beadsland *what*—unreal!
@zachleat could be a bit of recency bias but this one is pretty awful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdLsx1am9TU
The recent Vice layoffs where emoji reactions were enabled and they stopped due to the flood of thumbs-down. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/vice-execs-abruptly-lay-off-221022407.html
@gregorlove.com yeah, that one was particularly bad.
