   (So many Vercel folks are missing from Mastodon 👀)

      @zachleat same with the Remix team

      1. Zach Leatherman 14 min later

         @ThePaulMcBride yeah…

      2. mokobien 5 days later

         @ThePaulMcBride @zachleat Remix team is mostly Salt Lake City people driving Teslas so yeah not a surprise 😬

   2. Cory 19 min later

      @zachleat we should rewrite it using Next. Build it and they will come sorta thing.

         @cory field of nightmares 😅

         1. Cory 32 min later

            @zachleat it'll be fine 🫣

   3. Evan Freeze 36 min later

      @zachleat I find it super weird the Vercel and Remix teams are just carrying on over there like everything’s normal and fine.

      1. Zach Leatherman 44 min later

         @evanfreeze it ain’t just them

   4. benschwarz 1 hr later

      @zachleat ya it’s because they believe the eyeballs are on Twitter and despite ALL THE BULLSHIT, they can’t leave the eyeballs behind 💰

      1. Zach Leatherman 1 hr later

         @benschwarz fewer eyeballs *is* a sacrifice—I did expect a bit more backbone about this whole thing though (which was naïve)

      2. Alan Norbauer 4 hr later

         @benschwarz @zachleat It must be weird for the React team members on Mastodon reading explanations for why they aren’t on Mastodon.

         1. benschwarz 4 hr later

            @alannorbauer @zachleat I’ll wait for it to actually happen first

2. Loraine Lawson 17 min later

   @zachleat There was a tweet from JS framework creator Fred Schott with a graph showing that Next.js was going to perform poorly with the new Interaction to Next Paint vital. Maybe a response to that? https://twitter.com/FredKSchott/status/1744843924274102348

   1. Zach Leatherman 28 min later

      @Lowrain yeah, maybe! Seems like a similar sentiment!

3. Andy Davies 3 hr later

   @zachleat Not just apps… I have plenty of examples of Next JS sites with reall poor INP times

   1. Zach Leatherman 3 hr later

      @andydavies what are apps if not sites with mega-bundles 😅

4. Sergio Scabuzzo (EcoTechie) 4 hr later

   @zachleat I particularly appreciated the explanation of when data gets sent to Google.
