   @zachleat how do I take part? Any primers on modern and or near future CSS??

   1. Zach Leatherman 7 min later

      @mknepprath my best recommendation is to be friends with @mia 😅

      1. Mia [data-css=poetic] 2 hr later

         @zachleat @mknepprath whoa, hello new fedi-friends 👋🏼

         1. Daniel Schildt 3 hr later

            @mia Miriam, thank you for all the great work you have done to make web development more understandable. ☺️

            And for @zachleat about reminding us about good things.

      @mknepprath @zachleat Shameless plug that I'm furiously readying a new CSS Architecture course for this very reason 😁

      @mknepprath @zachleat My advanced CSS workshop could be interesting, as well.

   @zachleat it's right there in the word…

   1. Zach Leatherman 11 min later

      @jimniels I…

      Jim did you use flex-direction on this word

      1. Jim Nielsen 20 min later

         @zachleat you know how you could play a record backwards and find hidden (diabolical) messages?

         i saw what you were doing there…

6. jimray 14 min later

   @zachleat new features are dropping faster than I can be amazed by how awesome they are!

   1. Zach Leatherman 14 min later

      @jimray haha yes this is exactly it 🎯

   So if, like, Bert & Håkon were the ancient Greeks, and Elika, Tab, &c were sixteenth-century Italians, that makes Mia &co.... The Ninja Turtles? 🍕

12. Luis 1 hr later

    @zachleat Would you care to give more details? If I was about to start learning front end what would you recommend me to learn at the moment? (Know a little html, bootstrap and know what CSS is)

    1. Zach Leatherman 4 hr later

       @luism this reply from @sarajw was great: https://fediverse.zachleat.com/@sarajw@front-end.social/111268827816464548

       1. Luis 6 hr later

          @zachleat @sarajw It is. Thank you both for the guidance. What I wanted to know about 'CSS Renaissance'. Did you mean a new (I don't know if version is the appropriate word) version of CSS is on the way?

          1. Sara Joy 14 hr later

             @luism @zachleat No rather that CSS has been really active for the last couple of years and continues to be, packing in powerful feature after feature

             1. Luis 1 day later

                @sarajw @zachleat Ohhhh that is good to know.

    2. Sara Joy 4 hr later

       @luism @zachleat also have you seen the courses at freecodecamp? They're pretty well structured: https://www.freecodecamp.org/learn/2022/responsive-web-design/

13. Matthew Phillips 1 hr later

    @zachleat It's really close to being a general purpose declarative programming language, and when that happens it's *really* going to explode.

    1. Jon 2 hr later

       @matthewp I misread this as "zachleat IS really close to being a general purpose declarative programming language..." and I got a little excited about all my future .zach files

17. Ollie Boermans 8 hr later

    @zachleat It really is quite the ride ain’t it! 🎢

    I could have never guessed when I started learning CSS… (checks notes, a little over two decades ago) that I would still be loving and learning it.

    The last few years have been monumental.

18. Daniel Schulz 16 hr later

    @zachleat Renaissance as in Return to ancient themes? Gimme that <marquee>!
