@zachleat Another good alternative is old-school AJAX/XMLHttpRequest – which, unfortunately isn’t popular anymore. @matuzo

@zachleat The base size of SPAs didn't have to be 200 kb if framework devs really cared about it!
If one need an SPA (maybe for an app like squoosh.app or photopea) preact + client router + boilerplate = 14 kb 🤷‍♂️. lit + lit element etc is also similar size. So I think even the popular SPA frameworks which people reach out for, are bad too.

  @munawwar that is true! The react frameworks seem uniquely bad in this regard
