   @zachleat federation delay, I think? I remember some talk about it months ago. You're not actually waiting on approval, but that's how it is surfaced. I may be remembering incorrectly, so don't quote me on that. 😅

      @haliphax @zachleat Yeah afaik that's what happens if you try to follow someone and their server is slow to respond or if something breaks and your request is lost.

   There are some accounts and/or servers that I just cannot follow and I _think_ it’s Sidekiq job failures on the other server’s end. The “follow” activity never gets resolved by the other server sending an “accept” activity back to my server.
