Sounds like you’ve gotta go to the theatre more often!
the price is right! I think the people that run it are retired
@zachleat Did you take a time machine back to 1980?
@bobmonsour it felt like it! hopefully they show back to the future at some point
omg.
Our nearby theaters have occasional dollar movie days, but you still aren’t getting out of there for less than $30 if you add in any kind of snacks.
the whole thing was a package! I was so confused. at our usual theater that would get you one ticket 🥹
Incredible. I want to find a theater like that!
@zachleat Those kinds of places are the best.
@joe it was fun! rowdy middle schoolers on their phones and projecting at the wrong aspect ratio notwithstanding 😅

@bill look, the goonies did find some candles (and a stick of dynamite)
You sure they didn’t miss a zero?
Prices were a part of the historical experience. The actual ticket invoice will come in the mail.
cash only they’ll never find me 🫣
Face recognition, car plate reading, phone signal triangulation, bluetooth and wifi fingerprinting, long range RFID reader on the cards you carry🫣
the guy had to walk around and turn all of the lights in the theater off manually before starting the show 🫣
@zachleat That‘s about one ticket and popcorn here in Germany. 😕
@nilsmielke one ticket and a popcorn at the chain theater would be about $20 yeah
@zachleat Oh, okay. Got it.
@nilsmielke just an unusual small town historical theater!
